U.S. Federal Infrastructure Bill Calls for $300 Billion Investment for EVs, Roads, Bridges

Congress has been asked by the current administration to make an 8-year investment to overhaul the U.S. infrastructure. 

The plan will modernize 20,000 miles of highways and road, including making repairs to 10,000 bridges. Over $115B will be invested in this line item. 

The plan also seeks to invest $174B in electrifying cars and trucks, in addition to improving and advancing the charging infrastructure. The plan has outlined the goal of creating grants and incentives for state and local governments and private industry to build a national charging network by 2030.
