United Auto Workers (UAW) Forges Last of Big 3 Agreements
The United Auto Workers (UAW) announced it has reached a tentative agreement with Fiat Chrysler (FCA) as of early December. The deal is set to go to members for official approval within a few days of the announcement. UAW workers are positioned to have several bargaining victories including, but not limited to income, healthcare parity and enhanced profit sharing. This comes after more protracted and contentious negotiations between UAW and GM in the Fall of 2019.
As part of the agreement, approximately 3,800 temporary employees will now get full-time employment status and access to benefits as part of the deal.
