General Motors Announces Production End Dates for Chevy and Cadillac sedan models

Final production dates have been announced by General Motors (GM) for two recent victims of the U.S. auto market migration from passenger cars to larger utility vehicles.

The Chevrolet Impala and the Cadillac CT6 are presently assembled at GM's Detroit-Hamtracmck facility and are the latest sedans to fall off the production map.

The Impala's last production run will be February 25, while Cadillac ended production in mid-January.

The production facility will remain open and will refocus and be repurposed to produce the long-awaited all Electric Pickup Truck in 2021. Other parts of the facility will be used to step up utility vehicle production.
