Five Star Pizza Reduces Costs by Offering Delivery Drivers Company Vehicles

THE CHALLENGE

After years of reimbursing employees for the use of their personal vehicles to deliver pizza, Five Star Pizza Co was unable to hire more qualified team members. Five Star Pizza Co needed to find a way to offer employees a reliable vehicle to use when they arrived for work.

THE SOLUTION

Enterprise Fleet Management presented Five Star Pizza with a turnkey, locally supported fleet program that would help the company take advantage of manufacturer pricing and minimize the total cost of ownership. Outsourcing their fuel, maintenance, and telematics programs to Enterprise have enabled them to remain focused on their core business.

THE RESULTS

Within the first 21 months, Five Star Pizza has saved over $395,000. Savings are attributed to strong internal alignment within the company to bring on and execute the fleet plan. With Enterprise Fleet Management’s ongoing support of the day-to-day aspects of vehicle management, employees can focus on their store operation and delivering quality food to customers.

Going forward, the company is adding All-Wheel Drive (AWD) and Electric Vehicles to the fleet as a way to more efficiently improve the operation and as a way to lower the total cost of ownership.
