Centria Healthcare Shifts its Fleet Strategy, Drives Efficiency

Background

Location: Farmington Hills, MI

Fleet Size: 92 Vehicles

Industry: Health Services

THE CHALLENGE

Employees at Centria Healthcare were using their personal vehicles to visit clients, which made them responsible for tracking their own maintenance and fuel usage. While the company provided an allowance for using personal vehicles at work, this approach eventually led to mismatched branding and unexpected downtime due to wear and tear on vehicles.

THE SOLUTION

Enterprise Fleet Management helped Centria Healthcare shift towards a more comprehensive fleet strategy. With employees driving company-owned vehicles, the company can now track maintenance reporting and leverage newer vehicle models with advanced ADAS monitoring safety features.

THE RESULTS

Centria Healthcare implemented an efficient vehicle replacement strategy, adding 13 additional vehicles and replacing 75 units, to reduce their per-vehicle cost by 4%. Now, the cost of maintaining newer vehicles is lower than the cost of employees using their personal vehicles for work—a 79% decrease in maintenance costs from $0.14 to $0.03 per mile. These new, well-maintained vehicles have positively impacted employee morale and offered the company greater predictability when it comes to its employees and vehicle safety.
