"IONIA - Eight brand new vehicles for less than $52,000 per year.

That's what three Ionia County departments will be receiving as part of a lease agreement with Enterprise Fleet Management.

The Ionia County Board of Commissioners voted 6-0 on Tuesday, with Commissioner Jim Banks absent, to contract with Enterprise to replace some of the county's outdated vehicles.

The Ionia County Sheriff's Office will receive six of the eight cars, including a Chevrolet Express 3500 LS ($21,893), a Chevrolet Tahoe ($30,565), two Chevrolet Malibu LS ($16,466 and $14,966) and two Ford Police Interceptor Utility vehicles ($29,259 each).

The new sheriff’s vehicles will replace a 2008 Ford E-350 Econoline (worth about $5,000 in equity), a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe special services (worth
about $5,000), a 2014 Chevrolet Impala limited police (worth about $2,000), a
